Nicole Carson LMFT, PPSC

Are you an educator, parent, or student feeling overwhelmed and anxious with the daily changes happening in the world around us? Are you stressed and anxious, in fight or flight mode, or experiencing more fearful thoughts throughout the day? Possibly you’re a teacher with minimal tech experience, and you’re having to transition to online teaching, or you’re a student who had to start schooling from home for the first time. Maybe you’re a parent attempting to work full time to pay the bills, but now the kids are home all day, and you’re trying to find work-school-life balance. Maybe you’re trying to reduce the amount of F-bombs you’re thinking when you hear the news, and contemplate the sh!t show around us. Possibly you’re attempting to keep your anxiety from spreading to your kids, in an attempt to prevent childhood trauma.

Take a breath…the good news is, even with recommended social distancing, you don’t have to do it alone! I’m here to ensure you that you can move through these challenging times with maximum support and minimal trauma. Whether we meet at my office, via HIPAA compliant telehealth sessions, or a walk in nature, I’ll be with you every step of the way. By practicing daily mindfulness, and implementing healthy coping tools into your daily routine, your colleagues and family members will recognize your new found peace, as you graciously move through these turbulent times.

While you’re supporting our future, allow me to support you, using evidence-based, therapeutic approaches. I specialize in the areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, parenting, coparenting, marital, academic, and career counseling, as well as work/life transition and balance. Therapy will leave you feeling empowered and hopeful, which will improve both your life, and the people’s lives around you.

I’m am a mother of three, an entrepreneur and CEO, a community college counselor, and know from personal experience the joys and challenges of motherhood and life in general. We have lots of redo moments in my household. Hopefulness, humor, kind humans, and my education, from kindergarten post grad school, has gotten me through ALL crappy days, 100% intact, with more wisdom and grit because of the challenges. You can make it too! I have more than 25 years of combined experience working as a parent volunteer, teacher, counselor, and administrator in public, private, and non-traditional educational settings, from kindergarten to college and have been working in private practice since 2014. I look forward to supporting you on this beautifully, messy journey called life!
